The meal I literally counted down for…

Hey ya’ll 

It’s day two of cleanse and I am just about ready to make breakfast. It’s going to be a fruit salad of sorts: grapefruit, kiwi and orange, tossed together topped with slivered almonds. Omnomnom. I couldn’t up load the salad photo until today. Here is the ‘recipe.’

Ingrediants: 

Salad

2 fistfuls of mixed greens and arugula

4 radishes cut into slices 

2 celery stalks chopped into small pieces 

1 mini cucumber chopped into mini cubes 

Sprinkle with slivered almonds* (as many as you would like)

* it adds an extra crunch that I like 

Chicken

Toss in desired spices with a bit of olive oil. Pan fry or grill until done. I recommend cutting it in slices first, not only does it save time but it also cuts down cooking time significantly. 

‘Dressing’

Technically the fruit flush says only ‘olive oil’ to use as a dressing but I thought that would be a tad bit boring on the old palette. So I mixed balsamic vinegar, pepper (no salt :() and some coriander with a bit of olive oil.

Combine salad ingredients, toss and place cooked chicken slices on top of salad. Then omnomnom.  

Day 1 was pretty brutal. I definitely dipped into my snack bars due to severe hunger\desperation in order to fill in the gaps. I called my friend and he jokingly said I feel like shit because the toxins are coming out. While yesterday I had a migraine and was starving the whole day I do feel marginally better. Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself…
